Last Thursday, Coeur d’Alene senior Grant Potter secured the boys medalist honor with a score of 1-under-par 71 at the 6A District 1 tournament held at the Coeur d’Alene Golf Club. This achievement adds to his previous wins as he also claimed the district tourney medalist title during both the spring and fall seasons in 2022.
Coeur d’Alene dominated the event by shooting a total of 303, securing a victory with a remarkable lead of 25 strokes. It is worth noting that not only did they win as a team but they also swept the top three spots individually, with Ben Focke and Hunter Paquin tying for second place with scores of 74 each.
Qualification for State
Only one regional champion along with three individual finishers are able to advance to compete in the state level competition. Coeur d’Alene freshman Ella Wilson showcased her exceptional skills by earning herself girls medalist honors after finishing her round with an impressive score of 77.
